Washing
Frequency: Wash your product every 7-14 wears, depending on your activity level and product buildup.
Pre-washing: Gently detangle the hair with a wide-tooth comb or wig brush.
Method: Fill a sink or basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo. Submerge the product, avoiding the base, and gently massage the hair to remove dirt and oil. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. -
Conditioning: Apply a conditioner specifically designed for products, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. -
Drying
Towel drying: Gently pat the hair with a soft microfiber towel to remove excess water. Don't rub or twist, as this can damage the hair and lace base.
Air drying: Lay the product flat on a drying rack or towel in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Heat styling (optional): If your product is made with heat-resistant hair, you can use a blow dryer or heat styling tools on low heat settings. Always use a heat protectant spray beforehand. -
Storage: When not in use, store your product on a wig stand, mannequin head or hairjoy pouch. This helps maintain its shape and prevent tangles. Avoid storing your product in direct sunlight or humid environments. These can damage the hair and lace base.
